Runtuh Menua (RM) was established to provide Oil & Gas, Telecommunication, Technology and Cyber & Physical Security sectors a client focus, forward looking and reliable system integrator, services & solutions provider, digitalization partner and proven products supplier.
RM was established in early 2024 by its founders, where they brought into it more than 5 decades of domestic, regional and international experience and knowledge in the said sectors and industries for clients’ benefits, ensuring sound, effective and proven deliverables including post-delivery support.
Rentap Tanah, Runtuh Menua
Rentap is an Iban hero in Sarawak whose famous praise name is Rentap Tanah, Runtuh Menua which translates from the Iban language as ‘Earth-tremor, World-shaker’. This is consistent with company’s disruptive entry to the industry.
Meet Our Founders
Ir. Mohd Zahari Bin Zakaria – Director
Ir. Zahari brings over four decades of extensive experience to Runtuh Menua (RM). His expertise will enable RM to leverage the latest technologies, digitalization technologies, proven products, international best practices, and project execution strategies to excel in the local and international markets.
Graduated in 1983 from Aston University in Birmingham, United Kingdom, with an honors degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
He has working experience in various capacities and disciplines, particularly in telecommunication engineering, ICT consultancy, cybersecurity consulting and project management across different industry sectors.
He played a significant role in legalizing and providing engineering consultancy for cellular telecommunication base station sites for both brownfield and greenfield projects for Celcom and other cellular operators in Selangor & Negeri Sembilan.
In the oil & gas industry, Zahari’s experience spans engineering, construction and operations in larger multinational companies. He has managed numerous oil & gas projects locally and internationally, both onshore and offshore, fixed and floating systems across all continents.
He was honored in the Senior IT Security Professional category for the 2009 Asia Pacific Information Security Leadership Achievements (ISLA).
In 2009, he and his partners founded an oil & gas engineering consultancy focusing on the niche telecommunication engineering sector in Malaysia and internationally. Telecommunication Consulting Group (TCG) has since established itself as the leading telecom engineering consultant in Malaysia. Zahari was instrumental in expanding the group into the engineering training sector to enhance engineers’ competency, both locally and internationally.
Albert Ko – Director
Albert Ko is an accomplished entrepreneur with extensive experience in property development, engineering, and the food and beverage (F&B) industry. Hailing from Sarawak, he earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology and Telecommunications from the University of Adelaide and holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
Albert migrated to Australia in 1993, where he spent 6 years working at Shell as a Project Engineer and Project Manager. His role at Shell involved managing complex projects and leading engineering teams, significantly shaping his professional expertise.
Since returning to Kuching in 2019, Albert has been actively engaged in construction and property development. His ventures in this field began in 2012, allowing him to leverage his international experience to contribute to innovative property development projects and dynamic F&B ventures in his hometown.
In addition to his property development activities, Albert co-manages Telecommunication Consulting Group (TCG) with Zahari, overseeing the company’s strategic direction and continuing its leadership in telecommunication engineering consultancy.
Albert is now focusing on expanding into the oil & gas, telecommunications, and technologies industries within the Sarawak market through Runtuh Menua. This strategic move aims to leverage his extensive experience and Runtuh Menua’s capabilities to drive growth and innovation in these key sectors.
Albert’s career is a testament to his ability to integrate global insights with local opportunities, driving growth and excellence across his diverse business pursuits.
